BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the calories your body needs at complete rest. We use the Harris-Benedict equation (revised 1984) for accuracy. Then based on your activity level and goal (loss/maintain/gain), we compute optimal daily calorie intake. All explanations are translated into 13 languages. Charts update in real time.

Activity multipliers: sedentary (1.2), light (1.375), moderate (1.55), active (1.725), very active (1.9). Caloric adjustments: deficit 15% for weight loss, surplus 10% for gain.
